Maturation Clinic Scheduled for Last Day of School

All of us should have received permission slips from our students and an email from the school that stated that the new Date to teach the maturation clinic is the last day of school.

I have reviewed the boys curriculum which in my opinion is age appropriate for the content taught.

The girls curriculum I have viewed personally and have included a link for you so that you can decide.  The curriculum is the same one that Davis School District uses.  It appears to have similarities in the previous program but some of the slides have been blacked out which is what I assume had controversial content. And any references to the prior organization are also not on any of the slides.  I have been told that a local nurse will be teaching this portion to the girls.

I encourage parents to attend with your student and review the curriculum that pertains to your child so that you are informed as to what would be taught.

Also as an added note the school board will appropriately decide on which curriculum they will choose to adopt in future school board meeting and so it is important for us all to be involved and attend the school board meetings.
