We were just informed by Principal Fuller that the Maturation Clinic scheduled for tomorrow May 22nd will be postponed as the Principal and School Board work together to approve appropriate curricula for this instruction.
Anyone who would volunteer to be on the Human Sexuality Instructional Materials Committee should make this known to the Principal.
According to the Law we expect that the Board will allow review of this curriculum chosen and for parent comment and review of it's content before it has been approved to be taught at High Mark - at an Open Board meeting on this topic in the near future.
I will post that information as soon as it becomes available to me.
All who are concerned are encouraged to volunteer in this process and to attend the School Board Meetings now and in the future.
Attending School Board Meetings help parents stay involved in helping our school become the Great school we all know it to be!

ReplyDeleteit is my hope that the school board can now follow the appropriate process for curriculum selection, allowing parents to be part of that process, and that they select a satisfactory maturation curriculum that has no association with offensive organizations like Planned Parenthood.
